An account claims your gamer tag, so the name on the global leaderboard is yours and nobody else can play under it.
Gamer tag rules
- 3 to 15 characters.
- Letters, numbers, hyphens and underscores only.
- Must start and end with a letter or a number.
- No two hyphens or underscores in a row.
- Tags are unique. Case and separators do not make a new tag: Lauri, lauri and L_a_u_r_i are all the same name.
- Your tag is public — it is the name shown on the global leaderboard.
Names that get you banned
Derogatory, hateful or obscene gamer tags will be rejected. Accounts using them will be banned without warning. Other players can report names, so pick something you would be happy to see at the top of a public leaderboard.
About your email address
Your email address is used for two things only: confirming that you are a real person, and letting you reset a forgotten password.
It lives only in the authentication system's private user table. It is not readable by any client, it is not attached to any score, it is never shown on a leaderboard, and it is never visible to another player. It is never sold or shared.
One email address means one gamer tag. You can delete your account at any time, and your email address is deleted with it.
